Missouri

The Missouri Retirement Security Coalition works to protect the promise of a secure and dignified retirement for Missouri’s teachers, firefighters, police officers, librarians, and other public workers.

About Missouri's Coalition

The Missouri Retirement Security Coalition believes every Missourian should be able to retire with dignity. We have come together to stand up for Missouri’s teachers, firefighters, librarians, and other public workers, and to protect Missouri’s retirement from dangerous political attacks.

Pensions are not only a promise to our hard-working public employees. Pensions build up our local economies and workforce by attracting quality employees, preserving public service funding, and protecting taxpayers. We must protect, not destroy or tamper with, public workers’ retirement.

Public employees who have faithfully contributed their life savings to the pension systems are being targeted by some politicians who would jeopardize Missourians’ financial security for political gain. The Missouri Retirement Security Coalition is working to preserve the financial security of all workers for generations to come.

Join the Coalition by signing up at the bottom of the page to fight back against these dangerous political attacks on Missouri’s workers.

On average, women earn 84% of men's wages. That percentage is even smaller for women of color–contributing to income insecurity in retirement. Pensions help to close these income gaps for women and provide security in retirement. https://protectpensions.org/2023/03/22/pensions-help-women-close-the-income-gap-repost/
