Iowa

The mission of the Iowa Coalition for Retirement Security is simple: Bring Iowans together to advocate for the retirement security working people deserve.

About Iowa's Coalition

The Iowa Coalition for Retirement Security was formed to ensure Iowans can retire with dignity. Recently, retirement security for over 350,000 Iowans has come under serious threat. Politicians and out-of-state special interest groups have made clear their intention to change vital retirement systems like the Iowa Public Employees Retirement System (IPERS). Join the Coalition by signing up at the bottom of the page to fight back against attacks on the retirement security working people have earned.

To contact your legislators about their stance on IPERS, follow this link and email your elected officials directly.

On average, women earn 84% of men's wages. That percentage is even smaller for women of color–contributing to income insecurity in retirement. Pensions help to close these income gaps for women and provide security in retirement. https://protectpensions.org/2023/03/22/pensions-help-women-close-the-income-gap-repost/
